What's the difference?

Cartridge Filters
Cartridge filters are the most common type of swimming pool filter. They use a replaceable fabric-like pleated cartridge cylinder as it's filter medium. Depending on the type of cartridge filter you choose, there will be one or more cartridge cylinders in the tank. These cartridge cylinders have a very large surface volume and can stop small particles up to 14-microns in size. Cartridge filters are also the easiest to maintain and cleaning normally consists of taking the cartridge(s) out of the tank and spraying them down with your garden hose. To help the cleaning process, Filter Cleaner can be used to remove oils, grease, and debris.
